Allimone is a fresh and fruity dive into the life of a citrus tree seen through fruit-colored glasses. Hostess Monique Verhoeff may not be a botanist, historian or grower, but she has become an expert on citrus fruit, and has simply developed a lifelong love affair with it.

Her passion for fruit began with her love for the magical, bright yellow, sweet and sour and deliciously fresh Italian lemon.

Milan, Italy was my home base at the time, where I learned from an Italian food journalist that Italian cuisine cannot do without lemons. Where I visited many villas with the historic lemon tree greenhouses – Limonaia. That’s where my love for the lemon was born. I am enchanted in southern Europe by the lemons that play a starring role every day in la dolce vita, the good life.

The lemon is my source of inspiration for my company Allimone (translation: with the taste of lemon), where you can go for advice on citrus tree care and everything related to this fruit.
The seed for the Allimone website was sown in 2012 and each year the harvest grows.
Helping people care for their lemon tree and enthusing them to keep a healthy fruit tree makes me happy and delighted every day.

I am inspired by nature’s edible, colorful, fragrant, flavorful and magical gifts, from Mother Earth: the fruit. The unique and in some cases very rare and unknown fruits each have their own peculiar characteristics, created by the fragrant and delicate blossoms on lush fruit trees. The fruits, in turn, contain the kernels and seeds for new fruit trees.

She traverses the world with her personal advice and growing hunger for more information. Through conversations with gardeners in Holland and Italy, scientists, chefs and citrus lovers, Allimone proves that there is so much we can still learn about lemon trees.

As a result, Monique decided to pick up the pen and write help guides for lemon tree owners. Organic growth has led to the writing of:

You can buy these products and services in the webshop.

I have now delighted many enthusiastic lemon lovers around the world with Allimone’s products and giving personal advice on how to care for a citrus tree in the specific climate where you live.

Goodbye and good luck with the care of your citrus tree!
